Curb Records’ chart-topping Country star JERROD NIEMANN helped salute the U.S. Army III Corps’ 100th anniversary Friday night (9/28), performing a rousing USO concert experience at the Corps’ home base at Fort Hood, Texas.

Attended by Fort Hood Soldiers and their families, Niemann deployed his entire arsenal of hits – including PLATINUM-certified smashes “Lover, Lover” and “Drink to That All Night” – plus his patriotic new anthem “Old Glory,” which the singer describes as “100 percent heart, zero percent politics.” It was a fitting tribute to a group of soldiers who have been serving their country with impeccable honor since World War I.

“III Corps is celebrating 100 years of battle-proven excellence as America’s Hammer,” remarked III Corps Public Affairs Officer U.S. Army Col. Myles B. Caggins III. “And we’re happy to celebrate this momentous occasion with the USO and Jerrod Niemann.” 

On his first USO tour in 2016, Niemann established a deep connection with the military, learning firsthand from service members about the important moments they were sacrificing to serve their country – things like dance recitals and birthdays, anniversaries and more. Then after hearing news of the Tongo Tongo ambush in Niger – which took place almost exactly one year ago today on October 4, 2017 – Niemann was inspired to write the resolute “Old Glory,” about the American flag, performing the song during that year’s USO Holiday Tour where he joined Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Joe Dunford as they visited service members in Iraq, Afghanistan, Spain and Poland. 

A day before the Fort Hood concert, Niemann also helped launch USO Fort Hood’s new CONNECT AND CREATE program, a first-of-its-kind initiative at the base designed to connect parents and children as they learn, create and experience music. Niemann jammed with the military families in attendance, shared stories and donated guitars to the USO program, courtesy of his FREE THE MUSIC USA non-profit organization.

Curb Records Country star JERROD NIEMANN will stand and honor members of the U.S. Armed Services on Monday (5/28), taking part in the National Memorial Day Parade in Washington, D.C, as a special musical guest.

Set to perform his current single “I Got This” – described by Rolling Stone Country as a “strutting indie-pop jam” – and “Old Glory” – a patriotic anthem written before the longtime military supporter embarked on the 76th Annual USO Holiday Tour last December – Niemann will sing in a nationally-televised salute to U.S. service members everywhere, a task he views as one of the highest callings of his career.

The National Memorial Day Parade is the largest Memorial Day event in the United States. Now celebrating its 14th year, the parade will draw an estimated 300,000 spectators as it makes its way down Constitution Avenue in the nation’s capital starting at 2 p.m. ET. Viewers at home can salute the troops by tuning in to the live-streamed broadcast online, or on various ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox affiliate stations around the country. This year’s Grand Marshalls include actor Gary Sinise, The Tuskegee Airmen and Anthony Sadler, Alek Skarlatos and Spencer Stone – heroes of the thwarted terrorist attack on a train from Amsterdam to Paris in 2015. Special celebrity guests include actor Joe Mantegna, chef Robert Irvine and Miss America 2018 Cara Mund, and TV broadcasts will be hosted by actor Dean Cain, ABC News correspondent Kyra Phillips and ESPN commentator Sage Steele. Other performers taking the stage include Country star Trace Adkins and rising talent Cassidy Daniels.

Following his nationally-televised Memorial Day performance, Niemann will return to Nashville to take part in the massive 2018 CMA Fest. On June 6, he’ll join fellow Country star Lee Brice for the 2018 Fan Bash fan-club party, kicking off at 2 p.m. CT at Famous Saloon and featuring a can’t miss set of acoustic performances. Then on June 10, Niemann will appear on the Chevy Breakout Stage located in Walk of Fame Park (across the street from the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum) at 4:30 p.m. CT.

Later this month, Niemann will join the USO’s 76th annual star-studded holiday tour as the musical guest. Led by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Joseph F. Dunford Jr., he’ll have the opportunity to visit with and perform for service members stationed internationally.

Jerrod Niemann celebrated his birthday with a gig in Nashville on Friday night (7/21), and little did he know but he was in for a big surprise.

While the crowd sang “Happy Birthday,” Niemann was presented with a giant cake that contained a special guest: his wife Morgan, decked out as Marilyn Monroe.

“I’m never really at a loss for words. If you know me, I’m at a loss for words,” shared the nearly-speechless Niemann. “I must say honey, I gotta admit, I’m gonna cheat on you tonight with a blonde…This lady right here is not only the woman of my dreams, but the woman of my reality, thank God.”
